Story Circle is a Whitehorse Manningham Libraries’ program for residents of aged care facilities in the region. It involves the monthly sharing of stories and memories around a specific theme and is facilitated by volunteers who use a kit of resources developed by the Story Circle Kit Development Team.
We are looking for a new volunteer to participate in the research, development and formatting of the Story Circle Kits as part of this skilled and dedicated Team.
We would expect a time commitment of around two hours per week, usually on a Tuesday morning as this is when the Story Circle Kit Development Team meets at Doncaster Library to share ideas and work on the Kits.
Our ideal new Team members would have:
- Good research skills
- An ability to organise information
- An understanding of older adults and topics that may interest them
- The ability to work productively in a team.
- Strong MS Word and general computer skills
- Experience using Google docs would be advantageous
