eBooks and eAudiobooks in Whitehorse Manningham’s OverDrive collection will move to a new shared consortium called Boobook Digital Library on Tuesday 8th October 2024.

Whitehorse Manningham Libraries (WML) have entered into a partnership agreement with Your Library (YL) and Yarra Plenty Regional Library Corporation (YPRLC) to share our respective OverDrive eBook & eAudiobook collections.

All existing OverDrive/Libby users will need to log into the newly created consortium to continue using the collection with their library card number and password.

FAQs

Which libraries are participating?

Whitehorse Manningham Libraries (WML)have entered into a partnership agreement with Your Library (YL) and Yarra Plenty Regional Library Corporation (YPRLC) to share our respective OverDrive eBook & eAudiobook collections.

How much bigger will the shared collection be?

Our current collection provides library members with access to approximately 28,000 items. After the transition, members will have access to over 127,000 OverDrive eBook and eAudiobook titles held by the three participating library services.

What will happen to current loans/history/holds/tags?

Borrowers will not lose current loans or position in hold queue.

Tags are device specific, so as long as you continue to use Libby on the same device, tags will remain.

Why the name Boobook?

Shared consortiums in OverDrive require a unique, easily distinguishable name.

The name was selected reflecting the fact that the Australian Southern Boobook Owl is common to all participating library regions.

Users will continue to be able to search for the collection by library service or branch name.

I don't remember my library card number or password
