Hours: Full-time (38 hours per week)

Whitehorse Manningham Libraries (WML) delivers high-quality library services to the communities of Whitehorse and Manningham. We operate multiple branch libraries across the two member councils and provide a wide range of digital and online services to support our diverse communities.

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused experienced ICT Officer to join our ICT team up until 3 January 2027, with the possibility of an extension. This role provides first and second level ICT support to staff and assists in the operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the organisation’s ICT environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ICT professional who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving and supporting users in a dynamic, community-focused organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide responsive, customer-focused first and second level ICT support to staff across the organisation.
  • Support the configuration, installation, maintenance and upgrade of computers, peripherals and audiovisual equipment.
  • Assist with the administration and operation of networks, file servers, application servers and core systems.
  • Participate in the organisation’s ICT device upgrade and software deployment programs, including patches and security updates.
  • Maintain accurate ICT documentation, asset records and service desk information.
  • Assist with ICT projects and other duties as required within the ICT Department

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • Demonstrated experience providing ICT support in a medium-sized, multi-user network environment.
  • Sound knowledge of ICT infrastructure, desktop environments, hardware, software and peripherals.
  • Experience with Microsoft/Entra Ensuite, modern desktop and collaboration tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable

  • Secondary or tertiary qualification in computing and/or relevant industry certifications.
  • Experience with device management, software deployment and endpoint security tools.
  • Experience supporting multimedia and audio-visual systems.

Additional Requirements

  • Valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Ability to undertake occasional evening or weekend work if required.
  • Appointment is subject to a satisfactory National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
